When we are selfish, we forget about God. When we are selfish, we forget about other people, except in envy, jealousy and resentment! If the richman had desired to do good things with his money, he would have been rich in what matters to God. In Christ Jesus, we are called to generously care for one another. |

Hospitality is often time seen from our end; we feel as though we are giving hospitality. As St. Paul tells us in Colossians 1:24 today, "..filling up what is lacking in the afflictions of Christ on behalf of His Body, which is the Church..." reveals that Jesus is The Host! He gives us a share in the most important work of the world: Salvation! We will be eternally grateful that Jesus has allowed our sufferings to share in the work of redemption. |

Jesus Christ is the source of love and charity, mercy and kindness, generosity and abundance. In Christ, for Christ and through Christ we show our love of God and neighbor. We are called to be the Good Samaritan today. Here at St. Columbkille, we begin with prayer, we invite with complete hospitality, we welcome others into action with us, we are generous and we return to prayer. All these things are found in our pew packets. Take one home! |

Jesus gives His power and authority to the 72 disciples in the Gospel today. Jesus gives His Holy Spirit, filled with power and authority to His Church. No one is forced to be a Catholic. We freely choose to be Catholics. In doing so, we accept all of the truths of the Church. Let's use our freedom to grow in holiness and show others the love of God! |
